DETAIL
Mouth
With red
yarn embroider smile in the ditch
between third and fourth rows below
nose. Use photo as a reference. Weave
ends in well.
Eyebrows
With
White yarn, embroider over the row above
eyes using Satin stitch. Use photo as a
reference. Weave ends in well.
Beard
Cut a
piece of cardboard 5” x 7” or use an
empty full size DVD case (this works
wonderfully) wrap form along the long
edge with White yarn to make fringe.
Hold 2 strands of yarn together, fold in
half to create a loop.
Row 1)
Insert hook into Face then through loop
in fringe, YO, draw through all four
strands on hook. Pull tight. Evenly
distribute 10 stitches worth of fringe
in row under smile.
Row 2)
Apply fringe to next round beneath Row
1, extending Beard by 5 stitches in
either direction from Row 1 of Beard.
Row 3-4)
Apply fringe to next round below lining
up with Row 2. Trim to make even and
length desired.
Wig
(Note: doll is bald under his hat except
for this wig)

With White ch 34, sc in second chain
from hook and in each ch across, ch 1,
turn (33 sc)

Make
fringe as for Beard. Apply fringe
through Foundation chain row and the
stitches of Row 2. Apply fringe around
posts of Rows 1 and 2. Line ends of Wig
up with the Nose and attach to head
using a whip stitch. Trim to make
even and length desired.
