Single Crochet Decrease - Insert hook into next st, YO, draw up a loop, insert hook into next st, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw through remaining loops on hook

Double Crochet Decrease - YO, insert hook into next stitch, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw hook through two of the loops on hook, YO, insert hook into next stitch, YO, draw up a loop, YO, draw hook through two of the loops on hook, YO, draw through remaining loops on hook

Markers - Markers are used to specify where a round begins and ends.  Use a small piece of contrasting yarn or a small safety pin placed in the stitch before the first stitch of each round.  Move the marker as you go.

Rnd 1) With Red yarn, ch 2, work 6 sc in second ch from hook, join to first sc with a sl st, DO NOT TURN (6 sc)

Rnd 2) 2 sc in next sc and in each sc around (12 sc)

Rnd 3) 2 sc in each sc around (24 sc)

Rnd 4) *sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; repeat from * around (36 sc)

Rnd 5-6) Sc in each sc around (36 sc)

Row 17: * work Shell stitch (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in third sc, skip next 2 sc; repeat from * across to last sc, dc in last sc, finish off, weave in loose ends.

Bib Bodice

Row 1: With White and working in free loops of Skirt foundation ch, skip first 13 loops, join with a sl st in 14th loop, ch 1, sc in same st as joining and in next 17 sc, ch 1 turn (18 sc)

Row 2: Skip first sc, 2 hdc in next sc, *skip next sc, 2 hdc in next sc; repeat from * across, ch 1, turn

Row 3: Skip first hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc, *skip next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc; repeat from * across, ch 1, turn

Rows 4-7: Repeat Row 3

Row 8: Repeat Row 3 but do not ch 1, finish off and weave in loose ends.

Straps (make 2)

Row 1: With White, ch 5, sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1, turn (4 sc)

Rows 2-19: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn (4 sc)

Row 20: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, working in ends of rows sc evenly along long end of strap, across the free loops of starting ch, along opposite long side and across top of Row 20, finish off, weave in loose ends.

Dress Assembly

Match back seam of skirt.  Sew together using tapestry needle and White yarn. With Red sl st to top of skirt, sc evenly along top of skirt, up the side of bodice, across top of bodice, down the other side of bodice and across top of other side of skirt. Finish off, weave in loose end. Sew one end of each strap to top of skirt back and to opposite sides of bodice. Add buttons. Fluff.
