PASTA PEPPERONI

Auntie Diana gets into the act with this fabulous and filling pasta dish!

1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tsp of Mrs. Dash Garlic & Herb
1 6 oz can tomato paste
1 24 oz jar of marina sauce
1 7 oz can of sliced mushrooms, drained
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 6 oz package sliced pepperoni
1 16 oz package of medium sized shell shaped pasta

Heat oven to 350°.  In a large heavy skillet brown ground beef with onions and Mrs. Dash until cooked through.  Add tomato sauce.  Mix well. Add marinara sauce and mushrooms.  Mix well.  Cover and set on lowest heat.  Prepare shells according to package directions.  Do not overcook.  Drain well.  Mix prepared shells and sauce mixture together.  In a 9" x 13" casserole layer half of shell and sauce mixture evenly.  Top with half of the mozzarella cheese.  Top cheese with half the pepperoni slices (you can use less if you like, I do).  Top evenly with remaining shell and sauce mixture.  Top with cheese and pepperoni as before.  Cover with tin foil.  Bake for 25 minutes.  Remove cover and bake an additional 6 minutes.  Serves 6.
