Double Shell Bookmark

Materials & Supplies

2 ounces Luster Sheen Sport Weight White
Size “C” crochet hook

Directions: 

Row 1: Ch 31, sc in each ch across, ch 3, turn (30 sc)

Row 2: *Skip 3 sc, work 2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc in next sc (shell made)*, repeat from * 6 times, work shell, in last sc, working in free loops of foundation row, skip 2 loops, work shell in next loop, **skip 3 loops, work shell in next loop** repeat from ** 5 times, sc in last free loop, ch 1, work 5 sc evenly across end of bookmark.  Finish off.  Weave in loose ends.

Tassel:  Cut six strands of yarn 4” in length.  Bundle all six strands of yarn together.  Fold in half lengthwise.  Hold about 1” from fold to form a loop. Insert hook in shell at tip of bookmark, then through the loop of the tassel bundle, YO catching all loose strands.  Pull through loop.  Pull tight.  Trim to even up.
